We pride ourselves on keeping up with – and ahead of – all the top trends in the wedding dress world and one that has us extra excited lately? Crepe dresses. From crepe skirts with lovely lace tops to the chic clean lines of a high neck style (hello Meghan Markle), we can’t stop staring – and obsessing – over crepe designs for your special day.
Interested but not sure which way to go with this trend? Let us inspire you with these stunning ideas right here – and some perfect real life examples of our beautiful Anomalie brides wearing them!
High Neck Designs (Bride: Erica)
We’ve always been fans of a cleanly designed dress, and with a chic high neck – and/or other distinctive details – a “simple” dress becomes instantly stunning. As if we needed any reminder, Meghan Markle’s recent reception dress by Stella McCartney showed us all how subtly sexy and stylish a high neck design is. We have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a whole lot more of this look in the near future…
Cowl Neck Designs (Bride: Liza)
High necks not your thing? No need to fret; let’s try something on the other end of the style spectrum, the cowl neck. Not as outwardly clavicle baring as the standard v-neck design, the cowl neck is its more subtle sibling. But style wise, it’s a home run. Case in point: this pic of our Anomalie bride Liza above!
Flutter Sleeves (Bride: Heidi)
Not all crepe dresses highlight the neck though. Just take one look at these flutter sleeves and tell us you’re not swooning! Sweet and feminine, they are the most darling of details to any wedding dress.
Delicate Lace Details (Bride: Winnie)
Following along the feminine route are delicate lace details. From embroidery on the front to little touches down the sides or back, they are the ultimate simple and sweet, yet totally stunning, touch.
Cutouts (Bride: Meghan)
We’ve covered crepe designs for the neckline, the sleeves, and lovely little bits of lace… how about the back? Yes, chic cutouts on the back are up and coming and we’re on board!
