Brides-to-be choose Anomalie for a multitude of reasons (cost, sizing and more) but we’d be lying if we didn’t admit that making custom wedding dress dreams come true might be one of our favorite reasons. We love when brides have amazing ideas in mind for their dress – or when we work with them and discover these ideas together. We love taking an already gorgeous gown and bumping it up several style notches with various unique custom details. Plain and simple, this just isn’t an option at your standard bridal boutique, but with Anomalie, it’s a given.

What types of custom details can Anomalie create? The options are endless – from sweet monograms and messages, to chic little bits of color and more, the ideas are only limited by your imagination…

Embroidery

We love when brides want to include special embroidery, hidden somewhere on their gown. From quotes and sayings, to dates and initials, we can etch anything and everything. And how about this idea: use blue thread to make this special text, your “something blue”!

Pockets

Pockets are great for more than just the convenience of of carrying tissues, lipstick, or your phone. It’s also a cool casual look for your wedding photos. Why not incorporate this hot wedding dress trend into your A-line gown, like Caitlin or Clara? Clara says, “I especially loved my roomy pockets, which allowed me to carry my own tissues and lip gloss.”

Monogrammed Veil

Want to take an already important bridal item – the veil – and make it even more special? Add your monogram to it! Subtle, yet so sweet and stylish, it’s the perfect way to make this an item you’ll treasure for years and years to come.

Message in Lace

Like the look of the monogrammed veil but want to include something more subtle on your wedding dress instead? Choose to embroider a message of love to commemorate your big day on the lace of your dress. Think about your wedding date or “I love you [insert partner’s name here],” tucked into the hem of the sleeve or hidden on the bodice! With a lace gown, there are plenty of pretty places to sneak in a secretly sewn message.

Groom Details

Who says brides get to have all the fun!? We’re big fans of grooms getting an opportunity to add a dash of style to their look too and we vote for including a little message in the groom’s suit jacket – the perfect little pick-me-up whenever he takes a look.

Pops of Color

The bride will wear white… says who!? While yes, the majority of the gowns we create are a shade of white or ivory, here at Anomalie, we don’t believe in always sticking by the rules (aka give us a beautiful blush or lavender gown any day of the week!). So how about including a little pop of color to your dress with your lace? Take a cue from Neena or Karen who incorporated colorful lace into their dress design as a nod to their Indian and Mayan heritage.
