Whether you’re just getting started or expecting the arrival of your gown any day now, consider these easy, fun ways of including your mom in the Anomalie journey.
Read on to see how to involve your mom in the process!
Go Shopping Together!
As you start exploring your options, bring your mom along for the ride! Trying dresses in person is a great way to get a feel for what you want and having her support will be priceless—plus, it’ll be an experience both of you are likely to cherish forever.
Collaborate on Your Lookbook
When you design your dress with us, you get access to a Lookbook where you can input all your inspiration. What better way to get your mom involved than by recruiting her help for this creative endeavor? This is especially ideal if you live far from each other (you can share your Lookbook via the link in your dashboard). Do you live close by? Have a Lookbook Wine Night together!
Pick Fabrics with Her
Ah, fabrics… One of those things moms will always be more knowledgeable about. Trust her experience and wisdom by picking fabrics together (if she’s far away, your Stylist can send her an extra box of swatches).
Celebrate with an Unboxing Party
When that big white box arrives, invite your mom over, pop the champagne, and let the tears flow! PS: We love watching our brides’ unboxing experiences on Instagram (tag us for a chance to be featured!).

Dedicate a Part of Your Dress to Her
This is a cute one. Did you know you can add custom embroidery to your dress? Yes, you can. And what does this mean for your mom? Here are some of the adorable avenues you can explore:
- Create a custom embroidered message for your dress. It can be visible or camouflaged on the outside, or you can opt to have it embroidered on the inside of the gown.
- Incorporate a piece of her wedding dress’ lace or fabric. You can do this by attaching it on the inside of the dress, or you can leave an open space in the design for your tailor to sew it in later.
Pro-Stylist tip: Ask your Stylist how you can incorporate part of your mom’s dress in alterations. Also, make sure to keep her in the loop if you want to send an extra box of swatches to your mom!
