A couple weeks may have gone by but we’re still completely head over heels in love with the Royal Wedding (and in all honesty, we don’t see it ever getting old!)! Amid all the beautiful details, what do we keep coming back to over and over again? This dress!

Meghan Markle’s wedding dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller of the house of Givenchy and we’ve recently gotten to hear all the goods on how the whole process went down. From inspiration (even Meghan had Instagram and Pinterest pics saved on her phone) and meetings (with her BFF in tow of course) to fittings and hundreds of hours of impeccable craftsmanship, the now-Duchess of Sussex’s dress was created.Royal wedding Givenchy custom dress

But big news ladies! You don’t need to be a future royal to receive the royal treatment; with Anomalie’s custom dresses, any bride-to-be gets to experience this sort of extra special moment first hand.

Where To Begin

We love when brides-to-be come to us with ideas and inspiration (if you don’t know exactly what you want from the beginning, that’s OK too!). But instead of sorting through Pinterest, crossing your fingers that you’ll find “the one”, brides-to-be have access to Anomalie’s Lookbook where they can piece together all their ideas (bit-by-beautiful-bit) and then actually bring them  to life, all together in one dress.wedding dress inspiration pinterest

Your Own Team of Experts

Meghan worked one-on-one with her dedicated designer, from sketch proofs onward. There is no denying that one of the best parts of a custom dress is having your own special sketch (and is there any better momento to frame!?), so that’s an Anomalie given. Our brides-to-be then work with an Anomalie dedicated designer, stylist and full team of bridal experts to bring their vision to life (in only 5-6 months).

In Addition To The Dress

One of the most jaw-dropping details of Meghan’s dress was her veil; it included a flora detail from each one of the 53 Commonwealth countries, plus Wintersweet (representing Meghan and Harry’s home at Kensington Palace) and the California poppy (representing Meghan’s home state). Inspired to add a personal twist to your own gown? Bring it on! We love working with our brides to make that happen, from monograms, embroidery and even unique details on veils too!

The Final (Perfect) Touch

Just because you had a dress custom made for you doesn’t mean you get to skip out on all fittings though – even Meghan had three fittings to get her gown just perfect – and we recommend the same final touch. You may not need three visits but we help our brides find a tailor in their area to ensure an absolutely perfect fit.

One-of-a-Kind

So Meghan and Clare, thank you for sharing your amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience… one that we at Anomalie recreate for our brides-to-be as well! Excited to begin the process? Schedule a call with an Anomalie Stylist today!
