Meghan Trainor went big for her 25th birthday, on December 22, 2018. She got married to her beau, actor Daryl Sabara, and she also confessed finally doing justice to her 13-year-old self by looking and feeling beautiful, just like she’d always dreamed of. Her wedding gown, of course, played a key role—and we’re about to tell you just why.

Can’t believe I found you again…never letting you go @darylsabara

For the ceremony, Meghan glistened in a glamorous Berta Balilti gown, which she snagged straight out of the runway—but not before first going through the wedding dress search every bride must brave in order to find her gown. You see, Meghan had a vision—she knew she wanted something sparkly and curve-flaunting—but when she tried on her dream dress, sparks didn’t fly.

Enter, the godmother-like magic of her stylist, Hayley Atkin. She whipped out a stunning A-line number by Berta and had her try something completely unexpected. If you thought the aid of a fashion connoisseur was a luxury only celebrities could afford, think again! Here at Anomalie, we too value the helping hand of a knowledgeable Stylist, which is exactly what you get when you design your dress with us (at no additional cost).

👰🏼Felt like a princess

The gown that swept Meghan off her feet featured a sheer, shimmering fabric and an exposed, waist-hugging bustier corset, topped off with off-the-shoulder flutter sleeves. Right where the bodice ends and the skirt begins, a nude lining runs below the sheer fabric in what can be best described as a fluffy affair. For her easy-breezy, cathedral-length tulle veil, she went the custom way with hundreds of hand-sewn appliqués and crystals. As if we needed any more convincing, an embellished belt harmoniously married the waist to the skirt.

If you’re looking to change up your #OOTD, think about designing a sheath gown to wear into the evening while wearing an overskirt during the ceremony. Samantha’s Anomalie custom dress is screaming Meghan Trainor vibes with a geo sparkle tulle and the addition of an overskirt to give her a full A-line silhouette.
